We started a community initiative 3 years ago called Santas for Seniors, collecting and delivering over 2,700 gifts at Christmas to socially-isolated, low-income seniors. When a state of emergency was declared over the arrival of Covid-19, we helped to form a Sewing Task Force with volunteers that have collected, cut, sewn and delivered hundreds of masks and gowns for our local shelters, long-term care facilities and hospice to protect residents, patients and front-line health care workers.
